Joe returns to the Lyric once more to get us all into the spirit. This year his Christmas offerings, rather like the Three Kings, come in three different sizes. Come once, twice or thrice… each will offer you a tantalisingly festive slice of music, mayhem and myrrh(th).

4th December – Joe Stilgoe and his Mighty Big Band

Kicking off the festive season in style, Joe will be joined by his Big Band, a hand-picked selection of the finest, most exciting players in the country. Expect Joe’s inimitable take on seasonal favourites plus his own incredible songs and classic big band standards. Featuring special guests the Kansas Smitty’s.

11th December – Joe Stilgoe’s Christmas Party

A variety night reminiscent of the good old days of entertainment, as Joe and his 7-piece band welcome special guests, actor, comedian and presenter Rob Brydon (Gavin and Stacey, Would I Lie To You), WhatsOnStage Award winner Scarlett Strallen, cabaret artist Meow Meow and actor Jamie Parker (Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, Guys and Dolls, High Society, The History Boys) to reinterpret the Christmas songbook, play some frankly excellent games and possibly even indulge in a spot of Dickens. Come and pop your corks at the party of the year.

Finally, to take you into the festive week, Joe, the band and special guests including West End stars Katherine Kingsley (Olivier nominated for Singin’ in the Rain), Anna-Jane Casey (Billy Elliott) and Peter Horsfall of the Kansas Smitty’s, will give their unique spin on White Christmas. Come ready to sing along with all your favourites, and keep your fingers crossed for snow…
